Day 14 - The Mummers' Play brought us...
A newly written version of a short play in rhyming couplets.
The Mummers' Plays were 19th Century sketches, often featuring a hero, villain, and a doctor with the power to resurrect. The hero often wore a Santa's costume. Usually performed around Christmas, they were even banned for a while in England. Much hilarity ensued from this group of Orchard Wassailers and players. The audience reaction was a treat too! (Have a look on our video and audio page to catch some of the action.)

Day 13 - Friday the 13th may find someone down on their luck and this garage may have echoed the theme. The cold conditions and rain added to the atmosphere and scene. How fortunate we are to be able to go home, dry off and sleep in a warm, safe home. 'Buskers' entertained the crowd under the slogan "We don't want coins, we want change!"
Day 12 - Are you old enough to remember Band Aid's - 'Do they know it's Christmas / Feed the world'? Today's garage poses questions about what Christmas may be like and mean in other parts of the world.

Day 11 - Angels and Cherubs visited Gordons Way on the 11th - some with quite familiar faces!
Who can you spot? An amazing backdrop provided some great fun, posing angelically for the following snapshots.

Day 10 - At the URC we return to the traditional nativity scene. Beautifully lit, the tableau was hand made and donated to the church to inspire others and help people reflect on the birth of Jesus. Stars on the wall with written messages were a lovely way to pass on thoughts and greetings.
Day 9 - An amazing 'Kitchen sink drama'. We get an insight into modern (and yet retro) Mary and Joseph's preparations for the trip to Bethlehem - culminating in a touching last dance. There are videos to accompany the photos. A real treat!
Day 8 - With a projected slideshow, sing-a-long and a partridge in a pear tree; day 8 saw Oxted Adventure celebrate the 12 Days of Christmas. Ah - Ha!
