Day 4 - Forget the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury, we had the Cuboid Gazebo in Oxted!
What an amazing ADVENTure in Chichele Road. An alternative 'White Christmas',
'12 days' and not so 'Silent Night' entertained the crowds as they jigged and sang along.

Day 9 - Here's a touching 'Kitchen sink drama' about a modern day (if a little retro) Mary and Joseph's preparation for their own long journey.

Day 13 - "Keep your coins - we want change" and "Here's the Crisis, where's the Shelter" were two of the phrases for today's 'garage'. The cold weather and rain added to the atmosphere, with a scene depicting the plight of the homeless on the streets of London. Our local 'buskers' and carol singers selected a range of fitting songs. A poignant reminder of what it means to be safe, warm and dry!

Day 14 - The Mummers' Play:
Traditionally played around Christmas, this performance usually has a small number of main characters: The hero (in this example St. George), the villain, a doctor and someone dressed as Father Christmas. It involves some sort of resurrection by the doctor and is quite 'pantomime-like' in form. At one point in England these Mummers' plays were even banned! (There is nothing to see in this video but the audio is fun to listen to. Why not boo and cheer along?)
Great fun from the Limpsfield Wassailers!
